Road closure for bridge strengthening works

Advance notice: Road closure for bridge strengthening works, Lordship Culvert, Cow Watering Lane, Writtle, Chelmsford

Essex Highways are making preparations to carry out bridge strengthening works at Lordship Culvert located on Cow Watering Lane, Writtle. Works are planned to start on Monday 19 October 2020 and expected to take one week to complete.

In order to support these works it will be necessary to close Cow Watering Lane at the junction with Lordship Road to all vehicles 24 hours a day for the duration of the works. A signed diversion route will be in place using the following roads: Lordship Road, Roxwell Road, Old Roxwell Road, Cow Watering Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained on Lordship Road at all times.

Residents/Businesses in the immediate vicinity will shortly receive a letter providing details of our plans.
