The Writtle Community Fund supports charities, voluntary organisations and individuals within the Parish of Writtle and any external charity or organisation providing benefit to those residing in the Parish.
The Trust was transferred to the Essex Community Foundation in 2026 after it faced challenges with grant administration and recruiting Trustees. After discussions with Writtle Parish Council, WRiN was amalgamated with the council’s Community Fund, to create a new fund, the Writtle Community Fund, for the benefit of those in need in Writtle’s wider community.
The Chairman of the parish council said: “This new Community Fund marks an important step forward for Writtle. By bringing resources together under a single, well-managed fund, we can ensure that support reaches those who need it most while strengthening the wellbeing of our whole community.”
