Writtle Community Fund
Writtle Community Fund
The Writtle Community Fund is already making a difference to local people and groups following its creation through the merger of the historic Writtle Relief-in-Need charity and Writtle Parish Council’s Community Fund.
Managed by Essex Community Foundation on behalf of the Parish Council, the fund provides grants to charities, voluntary organisations and individuals within the parish, helping to strengthen the wellbeing of the whole community. Its first grant, a £180 award to Writtle Rainbows, has enabled the unit to purchase a new flag after being unable to take part fully in a district parade because they were the only unit without one. The new flag will be proudly used at community events, Girlguiding activities and special ceremonies, ensuring local rainbows can represent Writtle with pride.
