Update on Writtle Petanque

Have you heard the Parish Council are hoping to install a pétanque terrain at Oxney Park, off Ongar Road and East View?  We have set up a working party with parish councillors and volunteers.  The working party have hosted two have a go days, at the Green and Oxney Park which were very well attended.  As a result of this the parish council agreed a request for a larger terrain with four lanes.  The parish council have agreed to fund half of the project and we are making a grant application for the remaining funds.
